The Xec. – The Terms 2024-2025

  • The Xec. is opened to UK-based PR and comms professionals from Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Ethnic Minority backgrounds
  • To apply, interested candidates must request an application pack (email: thexec[at]thisistheblueprint[dot]co[dot]uk) and complete an application form
  • Deadline for applications is 23.59 on Wednesday 17 April 2024– late applications will not be considered
  • Only applications submitted via official channels (i.e. application forms to thexec[at]thisistheblueprint[dot]co[dot]uk) will be considered – CV’s will not be considered
  • All queries regarding The Xec. must be sent via email to thexec[at]thisistheblueprint[dot]co[dot]uk – attempts to contact organisers via other means could lead to a potential candidate being disqualified from the application process
  • Attempts to contact mentors, tutors or partners or anyone else involved with The Xec., BME PR Pros or The Blueprint to discuss an application or to circumvent the application process could lead to a potential candidate being disqualified from the application process
  • Applications and enquiries on behalf of team members will not be considered – interested candidates are expected to enquire and/or apply directly
  • BME PR Pros and The Blueprint take a zero-tolerance approach to bullying and harassment. Inappropriate communication from potential candidates and/or their colleagues will lead to their disqualification from the application process
  • Candidates found to have provided false information in their application will be disqualified from the application process
  • If successful candidates are found to have provided false information in their application, they will be immediately removed from the scheme
  • To secure their place on The Xec., candidates given a provisional offer must: 1/ complete and sign a form confirming they will adhere to the terms of the programme 2/ provide a completed and signed support form from their line manager confirming they will be given time and support to attend the course and 3/ arrange a payment of £250 from their employer towards costs (The Xec. costs organisers nearly £3000 per place).
  • Participants on The Xec. are expected to: a/ behave professionally b/ be punctual for all courses online and in-person c/ meet deadlines (including deadlines for submitting feedback forms). Failure to do so could lead to removal from the course.
